Galaxy S24 FE Debuts with AI Tech and Improved Performance

Date:

Samsung has officially launched its new Galaxy S24 FE just days after prematurely listing it on its website. Priced at $649.99 for the 128GB storage option and $709.99 for the 256GB model, the S24 FE retains many of the design cues from last year’s edition but introduces a suite of advanced AI features, including generative photo editing and instant slo-mo, marking a significant upgrade for a phone in this price bracket.

The Galaxy S24 FE sports a 6.7-inch OLED display with reduced bezel size, offering users a more immersive visual experience. The phone is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2400e processor, a slight departure from the Snapdragon chip found in US models of the S24 series. However, Samsung has equipped the device with a larger vapor chamber, enhancing gaming performance and overall heat management.

For durability, the S24 FE boasts IP68 dust and water resistance and a long-term promise of seven years of OS and security updates. Its 4,700mAh battery ensures extended usage without frequent charging.

On the camera front, the S24 FE delivers a 50-megapixel primary lens and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, both featuring optical image stabilization. Additionally, the device includes a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP selfie camera. For the first time, Samsung’s ProVisual Engine, an AI-powered camera enhancement system, is available on the FE series, significantly elevating the photo-taking experience.

In addition to the S24 FE, Samsung is expanding its product line with the LTE version of its Galaxy Watch FE, available for preorder today at $249.99 and set for release on October 3rd. The company is also unveiling two new tablets: the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, priced at $999.99, and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra at $1,199.99. These tablets feature anti-reflective screens and quad speakers and run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 Plus processor. Notably, the new Galaxy AI key is built into the keyboards for enhanced AI functions like Note Assist and Draw Assist, adding more versatility to the tablets’ capabilities.

With these new releases, Samsung continues to push the boundaries of technology in the mid-tier market, delivering high-end features at more affordable prices.
